Mark, a staple in the New York City music scene, has taken this Gimenez Guitars Sinner 622B on tour and has performed on TV for PBS, Chicago’s City Winery, as well as The Great South Bay Music Festival on Long Island.

As many musicians in the NYC and Long Island area have done in over the past few months, local guitarist Dan Sheehan (The Dan Sheehan Conspiracy) recently brought a Gimenez Saint 624B into the studio and put it to the test. The intention was to see if the guitar had the sound he was looking for to make an appearance on his forthcoming CD, Tales From Earth, Inc. The result?
With a line up consisting of The Prisoners of New York, The Blackfires, and headliners, Thornes, it was already guaranteed to be a great night. But this event was in honor of a new video for Thornes – “Lip Service“. It’s a hard-rocking tune showcasing the bands talents as musicians and song writers. And it did not disappoint!
We recently had the privilege of spending some time with lead guitarist Gregg Sgar of local hard-rockers SYKA. You’re probably familiar with their latest release, Stay Wild, the follow-up to their awesome Beautiful Nightmare (both available on Bandcamp and other online retailers).

It’s been a while so I figured it was time for an update. We are busy. Sorry, let me say that again… WE ARE BUSY!!! If you haven’t noticed, the Gimenez workshop is cranking out guitars at a ridiculous rate. Aside from having orders to fill, we are gearing up for a very busy summer schedule that will include several guitar shows and events – some of which will be right here in New York.
When Trapt came to Long Island on Friday, February 26th, four local bands got the opportunity to share the stage with them at Revolution Music Hall in Amityville. Among them was Cracked Alice who got the night started with a blistering set that literally set the stage and got the crowed ready for the night to come. Alex Gil, lead guitarist for the band, played a Sinner 622B from Gimenez Guitars for their entire performance and he did not disappoint!
